Strange is our situation here upon the earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to divine a purpose. From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: That man is here for the sake of other men… Many times a day I realize how much my own outer and inner life is built upon the labors of my fellow men, living and dead, and how earnestly I must exert myself in order to give in return as much as I have received and am still receiving.
I touched a sewing machine for the first time since grade school home economics class and I made a pillow. I am more adept now than I was then, but as with all things, still happy enough being imprecise and sloppy.
Spent the afternoon on Sunday at Farmer Helen’s - Sumas River Farm. She provides us our weekly CSA share. Amazing, organic, local vegetables delivered directly to our steps. There is no matching this, people!
Haven’t had time to post much of anything here. It’s almost the one year anniversary of Andrew and I buying our first house. We’ve been so busy making the house a home. Projects up to our eyes, but a lot of fun things that make it nice. It’s this house from the 1920’s. Bought from the Sears catalogue - THE CLYDE!
